WineShop At Home: Not Your Normal Direct Selling Company
WineShop At Home: Not Your Normal Direct Selling Company

In all my years of writing a blog, I’ve never explained why WineShop At Home is not your normal direct selling company. So I’m going to devote this article to that topic.

My Personal Experience

I’ll start with my personal experience. When I first learned about WineShop At Home  11 years ago, I fell in love with the concept. I knew I wanted to be my own boss, and I knew I wanted to do something in the wine world. WineShop At Home sounded perfect – until I realized that WineShop At Home was a direct selling company.

I didn’t like direct selling. I had always had a negative impression of direct selling. My negative feelings were accentuated by my experience in college where a fellow dorm mate sold a popular product line incredibly aggressively. I wanted nothing to do with that business model.

The problem was that WineShop At Home had everything I was looking for. I couldn’t find any other affordable opportunity that met my needs. After three months of hemming and hawing, I decided to try it. I signed up as a wine consultant with WineShop At Home. The good news is I’ve never looked back. I kept being impressed by what I saw. WineShop At Home truly was not your normal direct selling company.

Why WineShop At Home Isn’t Your Normal Direct Selling Company

I’d like to highlight three key reasons why WineShop At Home isn’t your normal direct selling company.

We’re All About Helping People Have More Fun with Wine

If that means hosting a wine tasting, great. If that means attending a wine tasting, great. If that means trying a few wines, great. If that means signing up as a wine consultant, great. We offer all of these opportunities to people. If they take us up on them, great. If they don’t, no problem. We’re not looking for everybody. We’re looking for people interested in having more fun with wine.

Wine Tastings Are the Core of What We Do

While recruiting is another piece of our business, wine consultants who only recruit won’t be successful. This is in distinct contrast to multilevel and network marketing companies whose primary focus is recruiting.

WineShop At Home Is a Very Nice Company

From the CEO to the VPs to the support team, everybody is committed to creating a warm, fuzzy wine family. And that kindness extends to the wine consultant organization. Just one example, we have two Facebook pages where we share information and learn from each other. Everybody celebrates everybody else’s success. It is an unbelievably positive working environment.

I hope I’ve dispelled any concerns you might have about WineShop At Home’s business model. To learn more about the wine consultant opportunity with WineShop At Home, please visit my Wine Business page or call me at 650-714-7009.
