This morning, I googled Christmas Wine. One hundred forty four sites came up. WOW!!! All kinds of wines and wine gifts.

Then, I went a little deeper and looked for companies that use the actual term Christmas Wine on their site. Here’s what I came up with.
All Kinds of Possibilities
Duplin Winery offers a Christmas Wine for $9.99 “that is sure to warm the soul. Christmas Wine is a wonderful blend of North Carolina Muscadines and will bring in the taste of a true Southern Christmas. The sweet berries laced with a hint of spice is a holiday favorite and perfectly paired with the season’s culinary delights.” Interesting that they call grapes berries 🙂

From Purple Toad Winery, you find a collection of holiday offerings that are “like a cozy holiday hug, brimming with joyous flavors that’ll make your Christmas moments even more memorable.” This winery puts their normal wines into special bottles. It doesn’t look like they create a special blend for the holiday.

Lynfred Winery makes Christmas Red Spiced. This one is actually a mulled wine. It’s made up of 67% red wine, 33% fruit wines (cranberry, strawberry, raspberry and cherry), with cinnamon, cloves, and orange.

Door Peninsula Winery offers a 3-pack, which they consider to be one of their most popular holiday items. “Each 3 pack includes a full size bottle of our Door County Christmas wines: Door Peninsula’s Red Christmas, White Christmas and Mulled Christmas. It comes in a festive holiday gift box, making it perfect for giving.”

Other Possibilities
While these offerings might put you in a festive mood, they might not taste very good. In prior years, I’ve written a number of articles about what wines are best to serve with your Christmas day festivities: wine pairings, dessert and wine pairings.
Cheers to a Very Merry Christmas.
