A number of years ago, I wrote an article called Montepulciano Times Three, which mentions Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. I said that this wine got the least respect and attention, so I focused on it in my article. Today, I’m going to talk about Abruzzo cuisine.

About Abruzzo

Abruzzo is east of Rome in southern Italy.

According to Wikipedia, It is “well known for its landscapes and natural environment, parks and nature reserves, characteristic hillside aread rich in vineyards and olive groves.”

Abruzzo Cuisine

Cassandra Tresl sent me a message about an article she wrote on the cuisine of the region. On her site, she also has additional information that I found very useful. But let’s start with the food.

Have you tried Abruzzo cuisine? What were your favorite dishes?

As a vegetarian, I’m most attracted to the Tajarin al Tartufo, a buttery pasta dish brimming with truffles.

Additional Information About the Region

Cassandra’s site looks like it’s going to grow nicely. There are three pages on the site about moving to the area, getting acclimated to it, and buying a house there.

If you’re thinking about a move to Abruzzo, please keep on eye on Cassandra’s site, which I’m sure will grow nicely in good time.

Saluti!
